HOLEY
Hovering between celebration and destruction - bullet holes and confetti - this series looks with both hope and trepidation at the world that now confronts us.
“My new series, HOLEY, is made entirely from circles and holes. I combine photography with found objects to create 3D collages and sculptures that explore how cutting, puncturing, or removing material can be both destructive and celebratory. Each hole produces confetti — turning an act of damage into something joyful. The series also reflects the world we’re living in now, where so much of what we’ve fought for feels under threat, yet moments of hope and defiant joy still shine through. Some pieces are hand-cut prints on mirror, so viewers see themselves reflected in the work, while others use circular cutouts like masks, revealing only eyes and mouths.”
